Koen Wauters, the Managing Director of Partheas, has been nominated for the ‘Broeikas Ondernemersaward’ (entrepreneur award) 2024, organised by the City of Aalst, Vlaio, the Province of East Flanders, HoGent and Odisee. Partheas, led by Koen (°1977) from Haaltert, offers innovative solutions for the healthcare and public sector. Amongst other, it is known for its unique solution on optimising patient logistics processes in hospitals.

The latter solution ensures smooth and efficient guidance for patients, from the moment they have an appointment, to their complete treatment. Using smart technologies, Partheas helps patients effortlessly from point A to point B within the hospital, with the right route guidance in hand. The total concept ensures a significant improvement in the efficiency of outpatient clinics, day hospitals or medical imaging.

In addition, Partheas is also active for solutions in medical centres and doctors’ practices. More recently, the application has been further expanded to government services, such as VDAB and local municipal authorities.

Wauters is appreciated by his employees and customers for his caring approach, both towards the customer and within his own team. The nomination for this award emphasizes his strong entrepreneurship and the positive impact he has on the healthcare sector in Aalst and the surrounding area. The Broeikas Entrepreneurship Award recognizes the most inspiring entrepreneurs from the region every year, and Wauters is one of the 13 nominees for the 2024 edition.

The award ceremony will take place on September 25, 2024 in the CC De Werf theater in Aalst.
